As an American living in Spain since 1987, my views on life, family, society, politics and globalization have veered from where I expected to them have been when I started this uncharted journey. They are often far from those of my family and friends who have not ventured for long from the U.S.
Similairily, they are often far from those of my Spanish husband's family and my wide circle of Spanish friends. Interestingly, however, they often mirror those of other American's living here and married to Spaniards.
So with no justification nor apology to either group, I simply post my refelctions and views to be read, considred and hopefully appreciated by those attracted to Mediterranean Views.

I have been in Spain for 20 years, 9 here on the beautiful Costa del Sol Malaga. I have been developing my writing and guiding gifts since we moved here, and now am pursuing a path in helping others discover themselves and their creativity through creative writing.
I have two teenage daughters who are a huge challenge and a huge part and priority in my life. I feel I'm meeting the challenge well despite the fact that who and what they are is sometimes far from my dreams.
My husband is Spanish, and the most wonderful person. Becasue of him I never resend e-mails that criticize men, and I believe we women have to strive to understand and spoil them as much as we want them to strive to understand and spoil us.
